How much would i be looking at to pay?

Or what about one of those baby carrier things?

Louie is only really happy when hes on me, its fine now as i dont need to go anywhere. But soon i need to take o to nursery and i cant sit on this chair forever!

TIA :flowers:

Nickimacrae would be a great person to ask.

From my own experience, I test drove a Meitei courtesy of Silverpod, and then bought one that Puffy was selling. It was a total lifesaver for the first 6mths.

If Louie is happy being on you then this could be a good option as he'll be sitting really close to you, hearing your heartbeat. I think thats what D really liked about it.

thanks moffgal

So would a sling be better than one of those carrier things?

It's a whole world of options out there!

Its better to start from what you are going to be using the sling for, for how long at a time, how long you want the sling to last (just see it as a few months thing, or want one that will be good into toddler years), if you want to share the sling with anyone else (sizing)...

I have two different ones, a babybjorn carrier thing (second hand £15), which works well for DH, and a Kari-me soft stretchy one (new £40), which I'm really happy with. The baby is so snuggled up against you, and instantly goes to sleep. It's just whether you prefer the structured one or the softer one. Basically they both work for us and hopefully somebody else will be along who can give you some better advice, because I'm not much use  (blame lack of sleep ramblings)

If you can't borrow one to try you can hire them from a few different sites.

i dont really want to spend much, so something not expenny  something that i can use to go for walks and get things done in the house. I cant see my using it for massive periods of time. Id hope to use it as long as possible, a good few months?

In a nutshell, i have no idea

A stretchy wrap is fab for littlies  It should do you well up to around 6m-ish. From then onwards its more likely you'd need to get something else... If you can get one second hand they last *really* well, and you may well be able to sell it on again after too

No, just as long as its not pink.

So do they just tie to you?

The stretchy ones tie around you first (well mine does), then you simply pull the fabric aside and insert the baby and then rearrange the fabric around the baby until he/she and you are comfortable. Mine came with great instructions which I only needed to look at the first two times I used it, after that I've been able to remember easily.
