hey ladies
happy monday
after a couple of nights of leila my little champ sleeping from 9-6am straight through she decided to wake up at 12am and again at 4am last night. decided after her 4am bottle that she didn't want to go back to sleep so hey ho, here i am, having now been up for 4 hours - and its only 8am!! So consequently my day is loooooming ahead of me. I am full of cold and far too tired to be awake!
It's a hair-frizzing damp grey day outside which is a bummer as i'd planned the park today.
I'm glad i found you all btw :hugs: So, what have you got planned today? Inspire me! Otherwise i think it might be :choc: all day :laff:

Well we're supposed to be at soft play at 9:30am but Lucy has woken up with a horrid tickly cough and so have i so we're not going.
She has some vouchers for ELC she had for Easter so we might pop to the shops later to spend them :D and we need to do our weekly food shop today too, so Tesco's this afternoon.
If i were you PB i'd stay in for the day and try and relax, i know not totally possible as you have Ruby as well but you could do some colouring or puzzles with her, things that don't take up too much energy!
Hope Leila has a better day and sleeps through again this evening.
PS: Glad to see you over here

Hello   PV!!!
Poor you having been up since 4am, will you be able to have a sleep later (can't remember if Ruby sleeps in the day still?)
If not I prescribe a healthy dose of Cbeebies later whilst you put your feet up!

hey gorgeous!
no, ruby wont sleep in the day anymore - well she *will* but only at stupid o'clock, like 4pm or 5pm or something which as you can guess makes her a nightmare to go to sleep later on. i'd rather have her up for 12 hours than a nap that late and then share our evening with her  :laff:
Typically, she gave up her nap only a week or two before leila was born
CBeebies/DVDs/Bribes at the ready!

Hello
Great to see you and the little ones here :ellie: :ellie: :welcome:
Sorry to hear you have been up for ages. You must be knackered. We haven't got that much planned today, it started off as a nice day at 6am but has gradually gone cloudy. I hope you manage to get some rest though :sofa:

Little monkey - I am dreading Dan giving his up. have already had to start rationing it so he goes to bed OK - beginning of the end I fear.
What catalgue bits did you get?

I am going clothes shopping with my frined at 1pm she has just got her student loan through and is itching to buy some new clothes, im hoping to get a few bits myself
Im also going to the gym and thats about it
Hope everyone has a good day
Oh hun
I hate days like this - and am dreading them even more when madam makes an appearance
We do Cbeebies, Cbeebies, Cbeebies and a bit of Mr Benn for variety if I can't face the day :laff: And that's just for me ;-)
How about teaching Rubes to do a foot massage :D??? James knows how to rub my back (briefly) which is really cute :cloud9: - we have one of those back massagers :-)
Or play sleeping lions? See how long Rubes can stay still for (and you may get to close your eyes too if you're really lucky!).
Hopefully the postman and the Tescos trip will break the day a bit and you can all get some well earned rest this evening  :bath:

i ordered a couple of pairs of wedges, a couple of pairs of flats/pumps, a white broderie anglaise mini dress (to wear over jeans of course, perish the thought of getting my legs out!) and a cute orange short sleeved slouchy hoody - all from next, on account as i'm a pauper atm!
shamu love the sleeping lions idea :laff: I just rang my sis (mum of 2 now for just under a year) and demanded that she tell me i'm not cracking up - and that it gets better. i'll be here for you honey when missy arrives. although you may be a lot more relaxed than me - i've just spent the morning shouting at ruby, and then in tears feeling guilty for doing so :-(
Darn hormes :-(

Oh babe - don't feel bad for shouting at Ruby. It's not your fault. Have you any :choc: in the house (for both of you ;-) )
And as for me being "relaxed" :laff: - I think I've wet myself!!! Don't you remember those mad nutter posts on t'other place? And when we met I was STILL in a haze (and James was nearly 3 months I think  ) Oh god, what have I done :laff:
Hope your sister was able to comfort/reassure you - when you're feeling ill everything has this habit of overwhelming you :hugs: Can you not just go outside anyway despite this yucky weather? I find fresh air does me lots of good (and Rubes will feel better for it too).
Take care

heh heh. yes i remember. the legendary post on formula feeding and how to make up bottles :laff:
my twin sis is my tower of strength  (who needs hubbies eh :laff: ) She told me i'm not going insane and that it 100% does get better but it is hard hard work but not to worry i'm not going to lose it :loco: !! Its great that she's been exactly where i am now and can reassure me. My best pal is coming down from sheffield in a couple of weekends time so i cannot wait for a night out - i've got the vodka and tissues ready :wik:
yes, we're popping out in a bit, i'm just about to have a shower, although the way i feel i just want to go out looking all skanky  but i'd bump into someone i know who looks immaculately dressed no doubt  Doughnuts will be bought from krispy kremes though :doughnut: Screw the diet!!

Late to this thread but hope your day went OK.
We had to drive from SW London to Reading to collect a car I won on eBay so as you can imagine Claire was impressed with an hour and a half in the car each way! Amy of course slept through it all. So not much fun was had today (although I have a lovely 52 reg Citroen Xsara Picasso to play with :wik: ).
I too seem to spend alot of time shouting at Claire and then feeling guilty but I think things are getting a little easier already. Amy has gone to bed between 8 and 9 4 nights running and has slept until 2/3am so its all going in the right direction and getting more sleep is making me more calm.
Hey you - was wondering how you hadn't made it over here - hope your day was ok in the end - I pm'd you on the other side ya know - before it crashed and burned - can pm you here now :ellie: :ellie:

Thanks girls.
Can't believe what a turnaround our afternoon was - the sun was shining so took the girls to cassiobury park - a beautiful park with miles and miles of path to walk, plus the usual swings and roundabouts so all was happy. my sis and her 2 met me and we walked for about 2 hours, i was bushed last night - but felt so much better for getting out. will definitely remember that when feeling down again. Get out! its all about the fresh air!!
mr pv rang yday whilst i was crying my eyes out and he was such a honey. really surprised me how compassionate and understanding he was. i actually asked him if he was an imposter! Bless him, he has said we can put ruby with the CM for another day if i find its too much (she currently goes to CM on a tuesday) but i'm hoping its just early days and i'm being a drama queen lol! we'll see.
Also, i couldn't ask for a lovelier little baby. she is so good i hardly know she's there (apart from 12am and 4am in the mornings!!) so it could be lots harder.
cathy  not even open my packages yet  going to make myself a sarnie and get cracking now, as little one is asleep (as usual! i forgot how much newborns sleep!)
Az, i read yr pm honey, was halfway through a replylast night and it crashed on me    i'll rewrite once i've had a bit of lunch and surveyed my purchases
sorry for the all-about-me post

Well that's a nice treat for you now then!
Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday, am really pleased. I so remember with Dan on the bad days that being outside was so much better than being in.
Hi PV
Glad your day got better - the afternoon did improve a lot didn't it!! I remember Cassiobury Park from summer trips to see my aunt and uncle in Watford. A lovely place to walk and chill :D
Sounds like Ruby going to the childminder 2 days a week may help out lots - how about just giving it a go for a few weeks then you can cut back to one day. I plan to keep James with the childminder for 3 days a week at first then cut down to 2 days when my pay cuts to half. It's not great financially but anything to help my sanity :laff: Good on your Mr PV to offer you lots of support and help - sounds like a good 'un ;-)
Take care and hope today has been as good
