I havent come across anything that alfie doesnt like

Well except chips, he has had mcdonalds chips 2 x and he has 1 & then pushes them away, i now get him a fruit bag if we have a mcdonalds, its the same with normal chips

Anything else though he loves!!!!

He loves cucumber and onion and salad and tomotes and everything, even any veg like brussels..

Im so glad though i have to admit that he isnt a fussy eater it just amazes me that he will eat anything and even new stuff he dont bat a eyelid at

Lucky you!

We are now entering a phase where he can be very choosy - mind you he seems to have been ill for over a month now with various things.

He doesn't like chips though - in fact potato doesn't seem to impress him much unless it's hidden in veggie nuggets or something.

Can't think of anything he HATES though, it kind of depends on the day.

God send him to me, it would be lovely to feed a child that does not look at everything before she puts it in her mouth as if I have covered it in arsnic or dog poo

Ryan hates all food except weetabix, yoghurt, sweets and sometimes chips, depending on his mood at the time

You're very lucky there Gemma!

Ellis has a great little appettite and will eat most things.

He loves, apples, bananas, sald, peas and even cabbage

He would quite happily eat all day if I let him. :laff:

If i were you Gemma i'd count yourself lucky.

Its easier for me to list the things Lucy WILL eat rather than those she doesn't. She DOES eat well but only if its something she likes.

She has been brilliant since we came back from holiday but still she knows what she likes and there is no way she wants anything different.

The only veg she'll currently eat is peas and sweetcorn adn the only fruit is either raisins or banana  she's never been a big fruit fan though.

She doesn;t really like chips at all  (just potatoes to me) and she WILL eat potato if she is in the mood for it.

Soooo envious of the unfussy eaters' Mums.

Aoife often goes for several days - I'm not joking - without eating anything. I've kept her on formula milk & have started giving her Bertie Bassett vitamins to keep her going (I tried the 'healthy' vits but couldn't administer them).

She'll eat a HIPP Organic jar for me a couple of times a week. Heartbreaking when I spend hours and hours making delicious home-made dishes for her. Well, you gotta keep trying...

However, at nursery, she seems to have no problem eating.

God send him to me, it would be lovely to feed a child that does not look at everything before she puts it in her mouth as if I have covered it in arsnic or dog poo    Yep - and it gets no better. My 8 yr old STILL does this - inspects every meal with a sour look on her face. Unless it's pasta in which case she'll wolf it down - guess what she eats most  She HATES anything to do with potato, even baked beans are out as "they have potato inside" (I'm guessing it's the texture).

DS on the other hand eats anything and everything, more than I do in a day. Yesterday he had 3 weetabix, slice of eggy bread, 3 course Sunday lunch at the pub, with sarnies and yoghurt later. And the inevitable biccies and snacks in between.

DD was fed entirely on home made, non-processed food and DS was almost completely fed on jars and packets. Go figure  (perhaps it's my cooking  )

My boy is on a strict diet - nothing but fruit, chicken and peanut butter sandwiches.

Could be worse I suppose but still, it's annoying like the others have said to make something delicious you KNOW they'd like to have them say YUCK and turn their crusty little noses up at it.

Consider yourself very lucky CH!

Am very jealous too. Claire has been a fussy madam from day 1. As a result I am sooo dreading weaning Amy.

Tyler eats most things as well. The only thing we have found he wont eat is rice. Doesn't like the texture of it! Puts it to his mouth and screws his face up and wont touch it again!

oh and brussels spouts and coliflower! but I don't blame him I don't like them either!

Other than that everything get shoved down there!

Like *kate* my son was weaned on organic homemade food and has turned into the fussiest little blighter imaginable. Was a perfect eater until he reached 15 months or so then changed completely.

S'Ok if it's cheese, fruit or meat but god forbid I should try to add some veg or carbs into a meal!!

CH think yourself lucky

You are sooooo lucky! He's only rejected McDonalds chips?! I bet there are some kids who will eat nothing BUT McDonalds!

William can be fussy. Some days he will eat lots, then the next day he'll just rub everything into his head, even his supposed favourites.

He's another one that won't eat chips though. I've tried homemade oven chips, normal oven chips, chips in restaurants etc, and DH even offered him a chippy chip. But they all got mauled and rubbed into his hair.

Jen is of the eats most things camp (sorry  )

The only things she turns her nose up at are uncooked tomatoes, tuna (although she will eat it with a sauce) & cabbage.

I do realise how lucky I am. If it is any consolation- she is a bad sleeper!

Ah well Ryan is a good sleeper and tbh i'd rather that than him be a good eater if it was a choice of one or t'other :laff:

We have made progress in the last few days - he's been eating much better, even eating tomatoes and cucumber. I've been giving him mayonnaise and he's been dipping everything in that and he's eaten so much better. I would have to admit though to feeding him microwave pizza  last night but he loved it. Funny enough he won't eat my home-made ones

Ooohh this post has made me feel so much better about my Miss Fussy :pants:, I was starting to think she was the only child in the world who did not eat fruit :sigh:

i've really lucked out with ruby and her eating. for example last night for tea all she wanted was crudites and dips so i did raw carrot, peppers and cucumber with humous and taramaslata (sp?). if i cook her a dinner the first thing she attacks is her 'little trees' (brocolli) and then nicks mine and mr pvs off our plate.

am hoping Leila is just as good but i know its not down to parenting is it - mr pv's mum had a nightmare with his brother, and they were weaned/brought up exactly the same way with regards to food and trying new things.

Ruby does dislike a few things though - mashed potato and she wont touch coloured pasta  thinks its 'bad' :laff:

I'm definitely another "throw away more food than she eats" club member :hissyfit:

BUT H is a good sleeper and like Redtiger says, if I had the choice, I'd go for the good sleeper any time!!

What's really really annoying is that something that she'll eat one day, she'll absolutely refuse the next :happyno:

She won't eat chicken if it's in big bits or any meat for that matter apart from bacon. If I puree it down in croquettes with veg (and then fry them) she'll eat it for example. But she loves fish.

I've resorted to the SAUCE addition (ketchup) which sometimes works a treat, other times will get her to eat two mouthfuls and sometimes, nothing will get her to eat a meal.

The only things she has between meals are bananas, apples, grapes, humzingers and babybels. (she won't touch raisins now unless they're covered in yoghurt in which case she'll inhale them  )

But then some days she'll eat EVERYTHING in sight :loco:

To be honest as she does sometimes eat really well, the only thing that massively winds me up about her fussiness is the amount of food I invariably end up throwing away in a week :bwahaha:

xxxxx

p s- oh yes and at nursery eats EVERYTHING - even things that she wouldn't touch with a barge pole at home :bwahaha:
