I am really scaring myself now as everything is ready for the baby to arrive. Everything has been washed and dried (I don't iron them as they are smaller than the flippin iron!!!!)

The moses basket is all set up and in our room.

The newbaby nappies are in the drawer and the little gifts we give to the visitors have been made only need to print the name and dob on the tags.

The birth announcement cards have been ordered only need to fill in the name etc.

And every part of my house is spotless......

I keep having twinges but I am not sure if that means newbie might arrive early or I am just doing too much :laff:

The only thing I might do is freeze some dinners but I am not sure what yet.

Is anyone else being this organised or am I just a freak??

Andie

PS O I still haven't ordered the double buggy yet as I just don't know.....dither dither dither.

DH now thinks we don't really NEED one feckin man I am going to have to slap him.

The gifts are a local tradition over here. They are mostly done in Belgium but where I live is so close to the border that the surrounding area has adopted the practise as well.

They are a little thank you memento for the people that come to visit the baby (and bring gifts) in the first few weeks.

With Dylan we had litte tiny wooden playpens about 2 inches high with a little baby boy in them.

This time we have something that looks a bit like a slice of cake with coated almonds in and then a little baby in a babygrow holding a teddy or a bottle. They are very cute indeed.

Then there is a little card attached with the baby's name and date of birth.

We will keep one as well and then it will go in the keepsake box along with birth announcements and other cards etc

Would you be able to pop over here and sort me out?

Theoretically, we could cope if madam made an appearance tomorrow but it would be chaotic...... All the clothes are washed and folded, her nappies are all prewashed (though I need to find out how to fold them  ) and her bed is under ours until I've sorted out the clothes that are lying in the middle of the floor

I haven't bothered packing my hospital bag yet as I'm certain she'll be late like her brother  and I want to enjoy the next couple of weeks :laff: The house is a tip (but that's nothing new), I haven't been food shopping for weeks and we haven't even decided on a name ;-)

At least there's half a tank of petrol in the car though :D

Well done you :)

I THINK I am sorted - we have the nursery all ready, all clothes hung up, vests and babygro's in the drawer, nappies and wipes etc in the basket, and bottles and steriliser are in the bottom of the wardrobe waiting to be used. Have stocked up on formula and car seat is down from the loft.

Hospital bag is packed, although I need to put in last min bits like toothbrush, toothpaste etc, and something for me to wear home from hospital.

I feel like I need to do a 'walk through' and double check that i have everything I need.

Oh, and we need to put the blackout blind up!!!

I'm certainly not as prepared as you, but I am getting there a bit at a time.

The nursery is nearly together now, I still have a lot of washing and stuff to sort, but basically all the baby's things are now in what will be their room and I did walk in there this morning and was a bit

Good luck! :D

Well it sounds from your other thread that you might be right to be ready!

I washed all the little white babygros and stuff yesterday, and it was lovely seeing it all drying in the sunshine.

Nursery - err there isn't one! The baby will be in with us, and hopefully we'll have moved by the time it's ready for it's own room.

I nearly bought some Nature Baby nappies in the Boots sale on Saturday, then decided that it was too early or something which is stupid as I now have less than 6 weeks to go

The moses basket is still in the loft, and we don't have a buggy suitable for a newborn; will post about that on the double buggy thread tho.

Am I missing anything major? I feel totally unprepared, although I'm SO ready for this pregnancy to be over.
