Would anyone be interested to moving it here rather than *there* (seeing as I think everyone is now here rather than there???)

I know that it's not everyone's cup of tea (Bisy you have made your thoughts quite clear  :wik: ) but personally I have dicovered a couple of gems which I have added to my everygrowing repertoire (which was fairly limited previously :wik: )

Mainly, zwinnie's fabulous enchiladas and Woolly's pork chops!!

So am shaking my arse in the wind with this one or would people like to join me (on the cooking bit, not the shaking my arse in the wind bit  )

I loved hearing what other people were cooking  (or do I just need to get out more  )

Sounds good to me Katkinn :ellie:

The monthly cook-along threads are more for cakes and quiches/pies etc, something we would normally not go to the effort of or be scared to try(hence why it's only monthly :laff: ) so more everyday stuff would be better on here. I was following your threads on the other side but didn't join in much as we are a house of veggies :hippy:

I made that Delia spinach and pine nut lasagne you mentioned this week, it was lovely but huge! I had to eat most of it myself over 3 days as DH doesn't eat cheese and Z though it was 'weird'

I'm in! Though I can't see me doing much "cooking" for a couple of months...... But it may inspire me once a week or so ;-)

Hello!

If there's food involved, I'm there ;) :choc: :icecream:

This week I made something from the Good Food wee 52 quick suppers book.

Though I did minky-vate it quite a bit

It's Gnocchi with cheese sauce. Here's what I did:

Melted a tub of quark (no marscapone available) and some bits and bobs of soft cheeses I had: gorgonzola, goat's cheese, brie and bleu de bresse, along with 3 sliced spring onions.

When that was melted, stirred in some chopped saucisson, though cooked bacon and/or chorizo would be fine, then stirred in some baby spinach and cooked on a low heat until it was melted.

Seasoned with black pepper and stirred in the cooked gnocchi. And that was it!!  :drinkingbuddies:

It was fab and one of my guests actually licked her plate!

ATM I am making the Caribbean banana cake from the Good Food cake book (Mr Minky's birthday brunch tomorrow) and will also make a chocolate coconut tray bake.

Count me in

I am always getting stuck for ideas for dinner. I never joined in the other one over there and I have missed out on loads of nice things by the sound of it.

As of 5th May I will be in new home, being domestic housewife and in desperate need for good simple recipes and ideas too! So yes, count me in, but maybe not for a couple of weeks!
