since easter i haven't had a decent night's sleep - i'm waking 6 or 7 times during the night, not even needing the loo  sometimes is mr backson snoring :pants: but sometimes its just random waking up and not being able to go back to sleep.
anyone else? and any advice?
i'm just exhausted, and can barely make it through the day at the moment, even :choc: doesn't help :laff:
last time round i slept like a, erm, baby  the whole way through, only woke up for wees in the last couple of weeks (i know you wanted to know that) so can't think what could be causing this....

I was like this in the first trimester, marginally better in the second but still up once a night at least - and sometimes awake for 2 hours at random times. Right now still up most nights - bar last night when slept 11 -6 - bliss. So I empathise and sympathise and think it is just one of those things that CAN happen in pg.
Right now I survive on my nap when dd does - in fact off for mine now.
Hope it improves for you, I haven't found anything that helps bar going to bed when I am tired even if that is 8:30...

I read so many books while I was pg because I couldn't sleep :laff:
Sleep is very variable in the Shamu house
Some nights sleep soundly all night, others can't get to sleep/stay asleep. The worst is waking with the dawn chorus at 5am and then unable to go back to sleep until 650 (DH alarm goes off at 7  )
Some suggestions:
Lavender oil on your pillow
Yoga type breathing (I ALWAYS sleep better after my antenatal yoga class :cloud9: )
Chamomile tea before bed (I drink chamomile and spearmint which is :coffeemug: )
Relaxation CDs even hypnobirthing type stuff
Avoid caffeine in the afternoon/evening
Light supper so your body isn't trying to digest overnight
Less :choc: - it's surprisingly high in caffeine and acts as a stimulant - sorry :-( ;-)

Yep!! I sleep not too bad until about 3am and then I need to pee and thats it then, I am awake all night, so considering it takes me about an hour to fall asleep, I am getting on average 4/5 hours per night!!!!
