We stopped night time nappies for Laura about 5 days ago, but have been doing a sticker chart for 10 days for dry nights with treat incentive (small toy) after 5 stickers. In the first week of those ten days she was dry every night and on the first day of this week she had a wet night, then a dry night, then last night was wet again.

We haven't been lifting her at bed because a) initially we were so ill we were going to bed same time as her really and b) even when not poorly, we tend to go to bed at 10.30 (she goes to bed at 8 - lights out 8.30).

So - is it still worth lifting her after only 2 hours? Or better to not even start it?

We eat around 7-7.30 - should I be limiting drinks?

Any other tips?

thanks!

oh and btw - I don't scold her after wet night obviously, just say never mind and put a line through that day on her sticker chart - am very encouraging.

We started with Jimmy in the summer and have found that the majority of wet nights are caused by the morning wee that he does on waking so even then he's not properly wet, just damp jammies then he realises.

We eat earlier than you, around 6pm and its no drinks after that but we're just muddling through, I think it's just a case of them getting used to it?

Someone else might have a better idea than me though because I did both at the same time so muddled it!

thanks kelly - yes perhaps you're right and it's just a case of time. I don't mind the odd wet night as she's doing so well but if only we had a tumble dryer!! (obviously we WASH the sheey first - you know what I mean!)
