Dh has just has his new card through for our joint account and its a visa debit card with the wee hologram thingy on it. Mine is a visa electron and has no hologram and electron written all over it. Is there a difference?
I hope there is and it means we can shop online with tesco as they dont accept electron but i suspect its the same thing different name scenario.
Anyone know?
Officially no different, but they are generally accepted where elctron isnt... :loco:

A lot of shops don't accept Electron as far as I know.

What I meant to say is that the new card will be accepted EVERYWHERE now (that accepts cards) but I dont know what the difference really is, seeing as they are both debot cards, My DH had an electron, and it was a PITA. Now his is just a visa debit too..

I had an electron a few years ago and could never use it online :puzzled: I think it was something to do with not having the three/four "security numbers" on it. Not quite sure. Does yours have them?
 Just reread it, we use our visa debit cards online all the time.
