OH rang up to find out if we could get Isabel christened at the parish of our choice and they said they would be pleased to help :ellie: its all the more poignant for OH as we dont really have links with the church here and its now likely that she will get christened in the church where his parents got married and where his grandparents are buried. (his Grandma only last week) :ellie:

All I have to do is take a form to our parish vicar/priest and get him to sign it, a mere formality apparently!

Now I can concentrate on buying Isabels outfit, and mine of course! I wondered whether I should hold off on Isabels though, as she will be just over 6 months at that time and its tricky on sizing as she is not long into her 0-3 clothes now and some of them still dont fit her at all (she is 15 weeks now) so I was thinking maybe its better to wait until a week or so before? I have a few different options John Lewis, Mamas and Papas and Monsoon so it should be a problem getting one should it?

That's really nice that she will be christened in a place that has family connections.
I'd hang back for a while with her outfit and concentrate on yours.

I agree, wait until nearer the time to buy her outfit, but there's no harm in doing a lot of shopping research before then!! :wik:

Thats what I was thinking re outfit, I didnt want to buy something beautiful and then it not fit her - either being too small or too big.

Its at the end of July, I cant remember exactly the date, OH has it written down around the 25th (whenever the weekend is then!)

I am hoping that as it is end of July the weather will be nice and we can have a party/BBQ on OH's parents field - they live out in the country, they run a B&B and have a massive field so I am thinking we might hold a do there!

Thats if the weather is okay, bit worried what will happen if it gets rained off!

We did something similar for his dads birthday last year in June, it was cold but good!
