bruised toe nail

hi everyone,

apologies if i gross anyone out :oops: :oops: :oops:

9 weeks ago i broke my big toe on my left foot (i dropped a shredder on it - yes it hurt ) and i bruised the toe nail (at the bottom bit) and obviously there was some blood under there (sorry) and now 9 weeks on its only grown out about a 3rd, does this mean i will have to wait another 18 weeks for the other two 3rds to grow out (does that make sense?)

my husband said sometimes it doesnt grow out, but im not sure if he's winding me up or not (yes im dippy)

Not that I have any medical background at all!
It doesn't always grow out because I think depending on how much the damage was it can stay discoloured but in most cases as you say it will grow out with the nail. And yes it will take a while, although your nails usually grow faster whilst pg.
