how much milk at 4 months???

My work won a store competition and we are all going bowling tonight (nice of them to include me even though I'm on mat leave!). It's at 8pm.

I reckon Kayleigh will sleep the entire time I'm gone but if she does wake for milk I have NO idea how much to leave, I've breastfed exclusively?

How much does your 3.5 - 4 month old take??

Cara takes between 3-6 oz.
Joseph would have taken 7-8 oz at the same age.

I pretty sure Sam would take 7-8 oz by that age... I would think at least 6 for a non greedy guts.

I've got an almost 5oz bag and an almost 2 oz bag of frozen milk out right now...I suppose it will at least keep her quiet until I get home.

That should be plenty. Carmen now takes 6oz, but it was less when she was partially bfed. Have fun tonight!

ah just remembered there is one of those ready cartons of formula in the cupboard. I don't really want her to have it, but if she's screaming the house down after nearly 7 oz of breastmilk then at least OH has an option!

Sure you will be fine with that. I went out last week (Think S is only a few weeks older than K) and didn't leave any milk. Left the house at 8 having given him a good feed immediately before and got back just before 12. He did wake up at 9.30 but OH settled him and he was sound asleep when I got back.
He can and does go 4 hours without milk so we figured that it wouldn't have been milk he *needed* if he woke, if I had been there and fed him it would have just been a comfort thing and he probably would have actually taken much milk, if OH tried a bottle he prob would have been no more likely to settle with it than without.

I think its a really hard thing to guess tbh especially if you're BF, a bottle fed baby will probably take more quantiy of milk iyswim than a BF Baby would drinking EBM.

I'd leave 4-5oz and that should be plenty.

Liam takes between 3-6 oz at the moment. When Josh was BF and had to take a bottle at that age, it always was less than what was recommended on the formula tins.
