Want a watch with a smooth leather strap...

...preferrably brown. I'm not a fan of croc style leather, and I can't find any with plain, smooth leather.

Nothing painfully expensive, but something better than a fashion watch.

Any ideas anyone? Merci.

I'd just find one with a face that I liked as you can always change the strap, especially if you are going for a decent watch rather then a cheapy.
