Tickers and sig pics

Not quite sure where to post this but I'll try here first...

Right, I get that lots of you have taken your sig pics and tickers off because you want to be more than just a mum on here. But can you not just tick the box to not show it when you're in non-family related boards? It's that I find it really frustrating when someone's asking for advice/talking about their little one but their's nothing to say how old he/she is!

Or is it just me? :oops:

im the same cause so many people i havent spoke to ive no idea how old there LO is...so its not just you,pikey :pants: did a thread a few weeks ago to get lots to take them off and a lot did do it..i took mine off but then when i asked a q people kept asking me how old so i put my ticker back on

I've added my ticker to my sig.

Partly so those who don't know me don't have to keep asking how old Liam is and partly because time flies so quick that sometimes I have to look at my ticker to remind myself how old my son actually is now :oops:

I may be wrong but I don't the software allows you to turn sigs off yet :huh:

a_a, it does, there's a little tick box at the bottom of the 'posting' box that says "Attach signature". So you can choose to either attach it or not, depending on the topic.
I switch mine between on and off all the time! :)

I'll be upgrading the software soon, and I'll have the option to make it so that sigs only show up in the person's first post on a thread - any further posts won't show the sig.

Plus you'll still have the choice of turning off your own sig.

I've just decided to go for non-kiddie sigs. If I have Dolly on there then I feel guilty for leaving Z off and if I include him then my sig is huge :loco: So I try and mention ages if I have any specific questions.

Good point Diddlum, but I like having the doll in my sig, and I can't turn off half a sig. I'll be more aware in future though when asking questions to mention her age!! :yes:

I've kept my ticker on if only because i wouldnt have a clue how old my daughter was if i didnt :oops: :oops: :shock: I switch it off if i post somewhere other than a child related board though!!
