Well, we've always talked about going for number 3 although it's still not definite yet. If we do try for it though I'm going to want to be starting soon (ish). So, I can't remember - what sort of things should I be doing to get ready? How far in advance should you start taking folic acid?

hi Nettie,
I think the recommendation is to take folic acid when you start ttc, you don't need to wait until you're pregnant.

Thanks

Hi Nettie, Good Luck when you decide to ttc. I think they recommend you start taking folic acid about 3 months in advance of ttc but I don't think it matter really as long as you start at some point.

I agree  I was told 3 months before you TTC by the gp . Oh and make sure you are still immune to Rubella .

Hiya! Welcome to Damsels and TTC (when you decide to go ahead) and yes, I would start taking folic acid sonner rather than later (I was told 12 weeks also)
