Had another appointment today, and it was a bit of a mix of things
The good things are that:
Madam has turned (has been lying transverse for the last 7 weeks) and is cephalic :ellie: So no need for a caesarean thankfully
My blood pressure is behaving impecably - so much so they wonder whether I needed to be treated last time
She's growing well - although a bit too well for my liking - 3.2kg already  That's bigger than James was when he was born....

Not so good:
Placenta is still quite low which means that whilst I'll be allowed to try for a natural birth :ellie: I WON'T be allowed to use the birthing centre (which is on the same site as the high risk delivery suite....) Am a bit gutted as I hate the delivery suite (spend too much time there through work  ) and the atmosphere in the birth centre is much more relaxed (they even let partners stay the night in a big double bed after baby is born :cloud9:
And I've got to go to hospital as soon as I think I may be in labour which is a bit annoying as if I have to go to the main delivery suite then I'd rather stay at home as long as possible.....

It just feels like last time my blood pressure was a problem and I've been expecting that to go haywire this time. I've got this far without anything happening so to be told I can't have the kind of birth I'd like because of a completely different problem is a bit annoying :-( Oh well, will probably be too much of a wuss to cope without an epidural anyway  Better go write a birth plan now

Thanks for listening to my epic moan

:ellie: about all the good thing- position and blood pressure. But :pants: to the placenta- is there any chance it may go up or are you too late for that? Perhaps you could have a another scan to determine this? (Can't remember quite how far on you are). Or, failing that is there anyway you could move onto the birthing unit after the actual birth?

The only other thing I can suggest is to take everything into the hospital that would make you relax, i.e. pillows, oils, music etc to try and make it seem more like home than usual.

I am sure it will be fine, they often err on the 'worry' side. And try all the drugs! :wik:
