periods and poo

Does anyone else got a very sensitive tummy when they have their period??

Mine has been realyl bad the past three mornings since my period started, its more heavy than usual and I've been goingto the loo lots more too.

Yep - my IBS flares up big time during my period. You have my sympathies.

Oh pants. Well I'm taking iron tablets and they upset my tummy anyway so perhaps it will all stop once period stops. I don't normally suffer too badly from IBS. (fingers crossed!)

GOd, I just can't stay off the loo! Its not loose or anything - just lots of it! Never had it quite this bad before. I did get in a bit of a tizz about this period though as last month I haemorrhaged (sp) after getting an infection after op. So losing blood freaked me out a bit this time, so its probably a bit pyschological too.

Yep my tummy decides to have a general clear out when I get my period. Only normally on the first day though. My friend reckons our bodies get rid of lots of crap (literally!) and toxins during our period so maybe that's why it happens? I don't know much about these things though...

Yup, I remember having a conversation about this with my friends once! We all said that we got the runs a bit during our periods,
how lovely!!

Yep I get this too . I mentioned it to the doc once and he said it was due to the cramps you get it has an effect on the bowel .

Me too. Makes me lose a bit of weight though, which is a bonus!
