Don't know if anyone saw these in one of the recent newsletters but I made them yesterday and they are delicious! can't stop eating them!

I used butter rather than marg, they are really easy to make and came out better than any biscuit I've attempted before.

In flavour they do actually taste very like bought hobnobs - but with a nicer texture and they aren't salty at all
I agree these are delish. And I've made them so often I now don't need the recipe either! I use 6oz of sugar instead of 8oz and they are still scrummy and ever so slightly better for me!
It is one recipe that has meant that MSE hasn't been so money saving - I never bought hob nobs and now oats and golden syrup are essential store cupboard ingredients in this house!
I've not tried, but they are meant to be good with a handful or two of raisins in them, or coconut.
Oh and they freeze pretty well too if you have that are unlikely to get eaten...

I did think as I made them that they weren't exactly moneysaving - I used butter instead of marg and as I always buy unsalted there was practically £1 worth of butter in them! Might try reducing the sugar next time as they are quite sweet, thanks for the idea!

Thanks :thumb: , will give them a whirl
I made them earlier this week, I also used butter and am going to reduce the sugar next time.
I never use marg for baking, I'd rather use butter.

Also meant to say, I hadn't got quite enough oats, so I crumbled an Oatibix into the mixture - seems to have worked ok!
