Oh well, I might be in denial but why don't we have our own thread!!
As I said on the 'introduce yourselves' thread. I'm Lois, aged 30 with a 2 year old who keeps me very very busy. P is a wee poppet most of the time but very demanding.
I only found out I was pregnant on Thursday night (at 3+5  ) and DH and I are a bit in shock and denial! We have been ttcing but had given up hope that it would happen this time around without help - I have PCOS and my periods have been messed up since I had my daughter. According to my dates (and amazingpregnancy.com) I'm due 22 December.
Symptoms so far are extreme tiredness, nausea, sensitivity to smell, slightly tender boobs and generally looking like ten kinds of sh*t!! I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to cope with being pregnant, having a toddler AND working full time but plenty of women do it. Last time I was very very sick with all day sickness up until 20 weeks and sincerely hoping it's better this time around. DH has already begged for an easier time around as I was also taken in at 9 weeks with stomach pains (burst ovarian cyst) and hospitalised on holiday!!
I have a GP appointment this wednesday - not expecting much from it but want to get in the system as I will need to set things in motion. I am not planning on having this baby in the county where I live, but where I had DD. I had an emergency c/s last time around and really want to go for VBAC this time if I can. The consultant and senior midwife at my previous hospital agreed I could go back as I felt my birth experience was a contributory factor to my PND and they say there is no medical reason (except for breech) that I should have to have another c/s which is positive news.
That's about it I think - I'm still really in shock (as are my parents as both me and my sister are pregnant - she's due 4 November!) We haven't told DHs parents yet as they are away and I've only told my folks and sis and my internet buddies!!!
Come on over December mummies!!!!
