Oh well, I might be in denial but why don't we have our own thread!!

As I said on the 'introduce yourselves' thread. I'm Lois, aged 30 with a 2 year old who keeps me very very busy. P is a wee poppet most of the time but very demanding.

I only found out I was pregnant on Thursday night (at 3+5  ) and DH and I are a bit in shock and denial! We have been ttcing but had given up hope that it would happen this time around without help - I have PCOS and my periods have been messed up since I had my daughter. According to my dates (and amazingpregnancy.com) I'm due 22 December.

Symptoms so far are extreme tiredness, nausea, sensitivity to smell, slightly tender boobs and generally looking like ten kinds of sh*t!! I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to cope with being pregnant, having a toddler AND working full time but plenty of women do it. Last time I was very very sick with all day sickness up until 20 weeks and sincerely hoping it's better this time around. DH has already begged for an easier time around as I was also taken in at 9 weeks with stomach pains (burst ovarian cyst) and hospitalised on holiday!!

I have a GP appointment this wednesday - not expecting much from it but want to get in the system as I will need to set things in motion. I am not planning on having this baby in the county where I live, but where I had DD. I had an emergency c/s last time around and really want to go for VBAC this time if I can. The consultant and senior midwife at my previous hospital agreed I could go back as I felt my birth experience was a contributory factor to my PND and they say there is no medical reason (except for breech) that I should have to have another c/s which is positive news.

That's about it I think - I'm still really in shock (as are my parents as both me and my sister are pregnant - she's due 4 November!) We haven't told DHs parents yet as they are away and I've only told my folks and sis and my internet buddies!!!

Come on over December mummies!!!!

Hiya!!

Well i was actually a dec '04 mummy and just found out this morning also a dec' 06 mummy too!!! I do like these christmas babies!!

Baby no 2 is due 12th Dec- the day after my first was due (dec 11th) and since she was nearly 2 weeks late and born on xmas eve, im hoping the pattern won't follow iyswim!!!!!

I haven't had too many symptoms yet as i thought i was imagining them since we've only been ttcing this month. Just very tired, occasional nausea although not been sick yet and very sore boobs!

Im still pretty much in shock and dont want to get too excited until the 12 week mark but its so hard not to!! :cloud9:

Hi Bex  I'm in a daze atm as it doesn't seem real. Once the morning sickness kicks in though I'm sure I'll believe it LOL!

Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy

Hi Bex. Last time around we really kept it quiet and only told grandparents and our siblings before 12 weeks. This time though I want to tell everyone!!! :laff: We've told my parents and my sister (she is due 6 weeks before me!) and obviously my internet buddies but that's it for the mo. My inlaws get back from holiday on Friday so we'll tell them and BIL then.

I've done 3 tests so far and it STILL isn't sinking in LOL!!!

Hiya!

Lois and I are due on the same day, although I suspect that may change when we both have scans.

I'm currently 4+ 2 but I don't feel pregnant at all. I know the morning sickness will kick in almost exactly at 7 weeks, as it always has before.

I've had a miscarriage, an abortion and a Logan prior, and each time it's been the same. I'm sicker than a dog from about 7 weeks to 5 months, and then I get really really tired.

Sitll hasn't sunk in for us either, although I'm no good at keeping secrets and have blabbed away to nearly everyone already.

Right, off to bed, have to work all day tomorrow, hardly had any sleep last night and I'm absolutely shattered!

Hi, can I join you all?

I'm due December 11th.
1st baby.
Symptoms so far: v.v.v. tired, huge (.)(.) already in maternity bras.
Hungry all the time but never know what I want to eat. Gone off chocolate. No sickness so far so hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones!

Hello :) Congratulations Lois!

I'm due December 16th all being well. I have had quite a few symptoms which I find reassuring but am on manic pantwatch still. I just can't help myself!

I have huge, painful boobs but that has worn off a little. I'm more tired than usual, have mild nausea quite a bit - that seems to be increasing by the day and am unfortunately eating like a horse. I have also gone right off chicken.

I have only told a couple of friends - those who have asked me outright if I'm pregnant yet because I can't keep my mouth shut! I should hopefully get an early scan because of a previous m/c so if everything comes back ok from that I'll tell my parents.

Wishing everyone happy, healthy pregnancies!

Thanks Azana! Glad to see things are going well for you too, crikey, 3rd trimester already!

So how is everyone feeling? We went out for lunch today which seemed like such a good idea but when I got there there was nothing I really wanted to eat.

Even worse was the supermarket, almost everything made me feel a bit a sick and I literally spent £20 less than I normally do because I just didn't want anything! Except ice lollies anyway. It did help that I didn't buy a wine box, every cloud!

Got my doctors appointment on Tuesday so am glad to get things in motion there. It makes it feel more real!
