I've decided that it's time to stop being in denial and get back in to this diet business! Problem is, I'm so scared about going and I think I have about 2 stone to lose .
I havn't weighed myself for over 6 months, but I know that none of my clothes fit anymore...

Don't be scared. You're taking the first step to taking control of your life and your eating habits.
Good luck!
Good luck Lyndsey, you'll be fine.
Let us all know how it went.

I'm pleased to say that it went quitewell. But, as I suspected, I'm my heaviest ever at 10 stone 12lb!
The leader lady was really nice, as were the rest of the group, and I really like the sound of the plan. It sounds too good to be true: not at all restrictive, so I'll see how it goes!
However, one thing that did upset me was that the rest of the group were a bit bigger than me. Most about size 16/18 or so (I'm a 14) and I saw two of them shake their heads at me when I was being weighed . It really bothered me, as I am unhappy at this weight, and my eating habits arn't healthy and linked to my self esteem.

Firstly - well done for going and joining a slimming club, it takes a lot of guts to do it and as A_A said, its the first step in sorting out your weight issues.
Secondly, I'm sorry you felt that other people were judging you when you weighed in. I really wouldn't take any notice though, fat or thin some people are just bitchy and catty and don't deserve your time or thoughts. At our slimming group (weight watchers) we have a massive range of sizes, from ladies in a size 28 to ladies in a size 10 but we all have one common goal to loose weight and thats where the support comes from. I'm sure that the majority of people in your group are like that too so go back next week and show them how well you can do! :thumb:
