Just sitting here watching Lu play with her toys and got to thinking she is quite rough when she plays, in a tomboyish way. I'd expect her to be a bit more gentle with he dolly etc but no, she grabs it by the leg, yanks it out of the pram, tears its clothes off then flings it across the room  i make a point of picking the baby up and giving it a cuddle and telling her baby is crying because Lucy threw her, and she runs of laughing

She throws a lot of her toys, even big ones. She is used to playing with older children and our friends kids are hardly angelic to say the least, they'll pick her up (well try to!) and play fight and roll around in a laddish way IYSWIM.

A lot of my friends babies are, for want of a better word "big tits" and Lucy has reduced several of them to tears on more than one occassion because her rough play has frightened them. Even MIL said "she isn't very lady like is she?"

I'm not overly concerned about it tbh, i know some kids are "harder" than others and Lu could definatley hold her own in a fight :wik: which i'd prefer rather than her being like my little brother who when Lu was 9 months old she accidently hit him and he cried for near 2 hours and said "the baby battered me"

So is your LO rough or otherwise.

DD likes a bit of rough and tumble play, which is fine with me. Like you, I can't bear nervy children.

But pehaps the throwing of toys should be disciplined? I do if DD does that, because if she were to do it somewhere else or throw something at another child I would be mortified.

Lucy just sounds like an energetic toddler, which is great!

Oh i do discipline her for throwing, ALL the time, she throws things sometimes i wouldnt expect her to be able to pick up let along fling across the room. I put her vtech baby walker in the loft just after Xmas because at 13 months she could pick it up clean off the floor and throw it

She seems to prefer BIG heavy things  but luckily she doesn't really do it much around other kids, don't get me wrong she will throw things but not like she does at home with her big toys.

Em can be a little rough   she seems to be a "whacker", I don't know where she's got it from :-( earlier in the week, she went to smack her little friend - and we had a break through, I told her no, she stopped and I said "now give S a cuddle" and she did  so maybe we're getting there.
She is a stubborn one.

Del is a right one! She may look small and timid but as soon as she sees her brother she can't wait to pull his hair and generally beat him up. She loves it and shouts with excitement. :laff: Poor Z.

Kenidee sounds the same as your Chloe. She is such a softie and it drives me mad! She is scared of everything...
