Morning all
Off to Italy tomorrow morning and am just wondering how to approach food. We've got a set menu to follow but I just don't think it's going to be possible, particularly as we are going away with another couple who aren't dieting, plus we will probably be eating out a fair bit or cooking for each other.
Do you bin your diet on holiday? Or do you try to stick to it? It's only a week so am not too worried but I don't want to slip back too far

I went ot the US for 2 weeks last summer - NOT an easy place ot diet. I didn't bin the diet acutally. I took about 7 cans of WW tuna out with me ( ) and then I'd buy fresh salad to go wiht it and fruit for desert. We ate out twice a week, and I tried to pick fresh things where I knew the ingredients. I actually lost 2 pounds while I was out there, which I was very impressed with! (though ironically its now making it harder to get back to my pre-pg weight! )
Which reminds me, unbeknown to me at the time I also brought back an extra souvenir, now better known as Teddy!

I just tried to be sensible on holiday, allowed myself treats but generally tried to at least pick healthier options and limited the alcohol a bit (very tough but once you've said no once it gets easier!). Make sure you drink plenty of water to help fight hunger pangs and stop yourself overeating, try not to snack between meals (or choose healthier snacks) and MOST importantly - allow yourself one day off a week to eat and drink whatever you want so you still feel like you are on holiday!
I was away for two weeks and still managed to come back a pound lighter! It also meant that it wasn't really hard to get back into the diet mentality when I got home, I think if you've had more than a few days off your diet its much harder to get back on the wagon again when you get home.
Hope you have a fab holiday in all your smaller clothes!!
