and it went really well, i have NO cot here now either so can't put him in his cot when he keeps getting out :happyno: I do have a stairgate accross his bedroom door now though so that even if he does get up he can't get out his bedroom. I opened it when he was asleep but he loved it, and he loved him new Thomas the Tank Engine duvet cover.:grin:

we had the in and out of bed game for a few weeks recently but after falling to sleep with his blanket at the gate one too many time Carter got bored and stays put now

Just be consistent Petrus and he will be fine. Amy was a right nightmare when she went in to a bed and we did rapid return. Took over an hour and lost count of how many times I returned her to a bed for the first week or so. But she is pretty much OK now. She will sometimes come out and chance it if she isnt drop dead tired but usually only once of twice so I can live with that.
