I'm going to redecorate little ones room very soon. I'm stripping off purple and pink wallpaper this weekend. We have ordered a bed form airsprung with underbed storage and some more bedroom furniture for him.
I was thinking of powder blue or similar and maybe a mid brown too?
I was wondering what you have in your boys rooms.

I want to keep away from characters and themes like Thomas and friends or Spiderman, but would consider my own kind of theme like moon and starts or trains. Something you wouldn't need everything of like the matching set of lampshade, curtains and duvet cover etc... Also I feel he would tire very quickly or go off the character. We want something simple yet effective and that would be quite neutral if we decided to sell in the future.

Opinions?

I stuck to a very plain theme in all my kids' rooms, as I know they tire quickly of Spiderman etc.

DS is currently sleeping in what will be Josie's room, so it's currently raspberry and cream but before that he has a very very dark blue on spme walls with a lighter blue on others. We replaced sockets and switches with silver ones and bought a blue tartan-type patterned duvet. I will have a mooch to see if I have a photo.....back in a mo

Joseph's room is half moon and stars from next and half my own creation.
Ebay is fabulous for buying second hand finishing touches. We painted his walls a powder blue. (There are pics in Damsel's mums) and made great use of stickers.

He does have both a Bob the Builder and Fifi duvet set tho...but that is not his room theme!

If you don't want big themes he could get bored with, what about painting some areas with blackboard paint so he can draw his own pictures on them?

I think keeping the walls plain and using bed linen to change the themes is a great idea. I've seen lovely ones in next and Laura Ashley.

Have a great time!
