I'm fairly happy. Need to accept some things and then unburden myself then I can be responsible for making more happiness.

- lovely DH and kids

- SAHM
etc etc
So yes, I am happy.

Need to accept some things and then unburden myself then I can be responsible for making more happiness. That sounds good. I thiink we could all do a bit of that.
Me!
I live in the countryside in a lovely pretty village - we have lived here 3 years in May and do not regret for one minute moving out of Hull :happyno:
My 3 gorgeous girls make me smile every day :lurve: :lurve: :lurve:
I have a wonderful husband who I love and he loves me and adores our daughters :lurve:
And he works 12 hour days 5 days a week so that I can stay at home to bring our girls up
I have nice friends and a loving family
I'm Happy  A lot of things in my life I wish were different but are out of my control and have decided life is too short and precious to dwell on the past or worry about the future so I am just going with the flow and seeing what happens. Also the fact that Easter is just a few days away and :choc: is there to be eaten helps. I am also off on holiday 9 weeks tomorrow so have that to look forward to as well as visiting my brother in Scotland next month. :ellie:

I had such a fun evening tonight - have you seen a Spanish film called Only Human? I have met some women who have just started a monthly art-house cinema showing in my local town, and built a website for them. Some mummy friends came along and we had a real giggle.
It's not true that there's nothing going on in the countryside - you just have to get involved!

There are so many reasons why I should be happy but sadly they are outweighed by a small number that mean I am not.

I'm happy!
Thats prob sounds odd from someone whos recently lost a loved one, but whilst its obviously very sad I like to turns sadnesses to good, and I've finally sorted out the work / life balance thing (lifes too short and all that)! :woohoo: And got back to being creative and doing things I love like cooking. DH is enjoying being in charge of the biz I think :teehee: and seems very happy too.
I have fantastic kids who make me very proud, finally feel at home in my lovely old house (after 4 years :faint:
, never having seen it before moving in was a bit of a shocker and we've taken some time to bond LOL), lovely friends and a husband whos a gem and my best friend.
Oh and we live in a beautiful place - the mountains were snow capped today! :lurve:

I have loads to be happy about but then I think about A and all the happy thoughts disappear. I even cried in front of one of her consultants this morning and felt a right idiot.

Oh Gawd, the Q...
humm, my first answer would be not really.
I am tired at the moment, LO's school is driving me bonkers and I worry for him. I like my job, it's interesting and fullfiling but it's bit streesful right now.
Dealing with bills and paperwork deserved to be classed as full-time job IMO so I can't keep up with that. After over a year spent mending a broken heart, I realise the only guy I managed to look at again and learnt to really appreciate has a gf and last but NOT the least, I have an awful wrinkle that just appeared out of nowhere!
Having said that, I defo refuse to feel sorry for myself, I eat,I have a working brain(kind of ) have a roof, noone died recently, LO is happy and healthy, I have people who I love and love me.
There are much worse case scenarios to be lived. I am fully aware of that.
I could feel happier I guess but I am grateful for what I've got right now
:higgies: to the ones who feel down and :ellie: for the happy damsels.
Damsella
19-03-2008, 12:02am
Soreya - you are being a strong woman, who respects herself. You should be happy about that
We won't mention the wrinkle again, I can hardly see it anyway.

Oh Damz, don't make me cry, anything starts me off right now... Talk about strong woman hey

I am, overall, happy!
Continually exhausted but it is a sunny day, I love where I am living, dd2 is at an enjoybable age and I am working at getting the balance of time and things for ME a little better. Hell I may even buy some clothes that fit soon!

In the big scheme of things happy. Day to day, not so due to work, a baby that won't eat who cries for the majority of the day, a toddler that is always sick since going to nursery, living in a freezing cold house that is stuck in the 1970's, house transfer taking forever. But in the big scheme of things I am lucky to have a gorgeous man who loves me and two (relatively) healthy, happy children. I eventually will have a gorgeous house and I am looking forward to the summer romping around in my few acres of the world in the countryside.

Yep I am v.happy. (Aside from worrying about health as usual).
But yes, happy.
My herinia has healed really well with no problems.
My weight is now in the 14 stone something range.
Im feeling good with a Spring-like spring in my step today.
Hubby is now off work for a week.
We are off to Blackpool today with the kids, as its such a sunny day.
Off to Southport weekend - weather permitting.
My daughter yesterday, was the most sweetest thing in the world and wanted to do EVERYTHING with me, she was like my best friend and it lasted alllll day and alllll night.
To top it all, i came home this morning from my parents, to a big bunch of get well flowers and a card which were just lovely

I'd say I'm happy.
I have a wonderful DH who I love very much, and who loves me in equal amounts. :lurve:
I have my much longed for baby growing inside me, and I'm finally believing that it is really happening for us. :cloud9:
I have a safe and secure home in a nice town, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.
I have some wonderful friends who make me smile, just by their existance.
I am in reasonably good health (certainly nothing significant to complain about) and so are the other members of my family.
I have a job that, whilst I don't love it, provides me with an income that enables me to keep the home etc that I have, and it certainly isn't the worst job I've ever done in the world!

Me in some ways.
In some ways not.
But I've had a very exciting offer of TV work and RD&T maintained it's number 2 position so I'm happy with that for now.

Me!!!
Why???? Check out my ticker :cheer2: My favourite time of year is here at last
FIL is coming to our house on Sunday for the first time in nearly 3 years and after all he's been through, I'm going to spoil him rotten.
Mr D is enjoying his new job and now sounds cheerful when he goes out in the mornings - even if it is 6.30 and he's got a 12-hour day ahead of him :loco:

I'm happy
I have a fantastic DH and a gorgeous, happy little boy and that's all I need right now... my job is ok (am definitely enjoying the new role more which is a bonus) and I'm considering starting up my own mini-business as well (although that's still in the pipedream stage at the moment).
And if I lose 1 more lb I'll be under 13 stone, which is a massive psychological barrier for me as I haven't been under that weight since I was 22 :faint:
I am loving being a mum, I love our home and where it is, I have a fab hubby and life is good

I am loving being a mum:grin: :ellie:
Oh Bop, that brought a tear to my eye
I'm not happy happy but I am pleased to report that I'm happier than I was a few weeks ago. I woke up this morning for the first time since I started my anti-ds not feeling hungover and I've definitely had a few flickers of happiness in the last few days which is a definite improvement.
So, relatively speaking I guess I am happy !
I'm quite happy.
There are lots of things in my life I'd like to change - biggie is getting a new job!
But I have 6 days off with my Moomin now so very happy about that!

19-03-2008, 11:03am
ok, so perhaps I'm not as happy as i 'could' be right now........but at least they are things I CAN do something about  and WILL do something about!!!
I am 'incredibly' happy every time I see my children and every time i think of my children etc....there is not a part of me not happy when I'm with them, perhaps tired, but certainly not unhappy :happyno:
I love my itsy bitsy house, even if there are too many of us in it, and yes it would be nice to move to somewhere with more space but there is a lot of 'us' in that house and this is what makes it home
I'm happy to have my husband around more these days even if money is an issue. It's nice not to worry about him when he leaves for work. The kids have beneffited so much too.
I'm on a nice team at work these days (long may that last) and so i'm actually a lot happier at my main work than I've been in a while...... I just need to sort out some more work
and I got an AMAZING card from my SD on Mothers Day that is still wowing me now  she could probably dine out on my good feeling towards her for years right now  plus I saw her school play last night which was a) a rare night out for me and b) blinkin excellent.....I could easily have been at a real theatre production.
So I'm going for half full today and saying i'm mainly happy!!!!

Strangely it may seem but I am happy. Sometimes I cry and am upset, and things aren't easy, but I know that no matter what happens I have a DH who means the world to me and is so caring, and I know how blessed I am in so many ways with my DH and our house and my job and family who care etc. I also believe that God sees the bigger picture which helps me too.

I have a lovely family, a fabulous daughter who gets funnier and develops more every day. I love her more than Life.
I LOVE my home, now OH has started making more of an effort to keep it tidy and clean as me its working well and i love going home to it.
My Oh would do anything for me and I love him dearly, we get married in four months:faint: and my dress fits:grin:
My friends are fabby and I am really looking forward to having a lovely time away with them next month for my hen do.
I have a good job and am very grateful for the support i have received throughout my dark days.
Money is a bit tight ATM with the wedding, honeymoon, hen and stag dos coming up but not so tight we cant afford to eat or pay the bills so thats the main thing
Im getting nice and toned up and a good serotonin boost from gym
I still have dark days but my PND is improving and i will conquer it.

I'm rediculously happy atm. Haven't wanted to post about though - for fear of looking like I'm boasting and because a lot of people are having a rough time atm :meh:
I :lurve: MY HUSBAND! I wake up feeling giddy in love and it's been nearly 9 years. We just seem to be in the zone at the moment, being really nice to each other and enjoying being together.
My kids are getting so clever  and it blows me away how I can have interesting conversations with them now, it makes all the nappies and snot worth it.
We're house hunting and have found our dream location and are trying to get rid of this house to move there.

Totally agree. There is something comforting in knowing that happiness isn't too far away when I'm feeling down
I'm feeling strangely happy and contented at the moment, despite the major black cloud of my Dad's illness - I've taken it as a blessing that I get to know that he's dying some time soon, rather than have the awful shock of him just going, if that makes sense.
Suppose I'm reaching a place of peace about the whole situation although I know there will be rough times ahead.
