has kicked the wing mirror off my car... again.
It happens about once a month and I'm :hissyfit: about it.

I HATE living on a main road with no driveway.

My mum and dad used to get this a lot. Now they simply fold the mirror in every night when getting out of the car. Most idiots can't be bothered with the extra 'hassle' of having to fold teh mirror out in order to break it off.

DH does that Fairiemoo but my car (a Corsa circa 2000 BC) has a fixed casing around the wing mirror and doesn't fold in.
So when they kick it, they risk smashing the casing. A lot of the time it justs clicks back in, but today the fixings have been broken.

Little beggars! :hissyfit:

This happened to us with our last car too. We always turn the wing mirror on the driver's side in but someone kicked it off and stole it! We live in a quiet neighbourhood too, not that that really means anything, just that it's unusual .

Have you reported it to the police? Maybe worth doing esp as it's a frequent occurence.

:hissyfit: little shits!

There was a spate of this in our street too a while back except they got bored kicking off the wing mirrors and started smashing windows instead. They were really systematic about it too, the first night it was the windscreen (thankfully Mr G was on night shift that night so our car escaped) then it was the right rear passenger window then the left! That was an expensive week

Ah yep, mum used to have a Corsa! Gets expensive, doesn't it?

I would agree with what someone said about contacting the police. Is it just you who is being targetted or anyone else in the area? Could you set up some sort of Neighbourhood watch patrol?

:higgies: I can sympathise. I used to have to park like this when I lived on a main road about 11 years ago. Kids used to regularly go along and smash the windows on all the cars. Would nick anything, just did it for the sheer 'fun' of it. I was a student at the time and couldn't really afford to keep replacing windows, either.
