Alfie really has no idea what the potty is for

He has loads of time when his nappy is off his choice he just takes it off he hates having it on the potty is always downstairs with us but yet he still wees on the floor or the sofa where ever he is

He wont even take himself to the potty or say he needs a wee or anything

He was nappyless just a min ago stood next to me and the next thing theres a big meaty poo on the floor  i go to get his wetwipes and then he has poo in his hands :brainache:

I always tell him to go to the potty when he needs a wee wee but he doesnt seem to get it

I know he is only little 2 in just over a week but his potty has been around since he was about 16 months, i thought he might understand what its for

At the mo he has the pull up pant things on as he cant wip them off as easily as a nappy but he does take them down and off

It took Billie a while to grasp the idea and we had a couple of false starts. Then at around 2 1/2 she just got it and has never looked back. I know its not much help but just keep on going and Alfie will get it.

Ryan was 2 in May and still shows no interest in the potty / toilet :sigh: He did manage to wee in the potty once but I think it was a fluke as he's never done it again - I think he's actually going backwards as he used to tell me before he done a poo, now he doesn't even do that!

DD was out of nappies before she was 2 but I think it'll be some time before Ryan is potty trained. I'm not too bothered though, it means he stays my baby for a bit longer

Z was almost 3 when he got the hang of it, I really wouldn't worry. I tried to encourage him by doing things like reading books to him but I should have saved the all the bother till he was ready
